The musical and movies revamp Glinda's ending and have her realise that the Wizard is Elphaba's biological father. She confronts him for his actions and lives up to the 'good' part of her name as a simple Glinda the Good, rather than adopting the Good Witch of the North moniker from the novel.

"Wicked: For Good" is the second half to the film adaptation of the popular musical. The first part — "Wicked" — was released one year prior to rave reviews. It brought the unknown backstory of the Wicked Witch of the West, aka Elphaba, to a whole new level of fandom. Cosplayers rejoiced.
