Two FBI investigators testified at Sen. Bob Menendez’s corruption trial about surveilling a May 2019 dinner at Morton’s The Steakhouse in Washington, DC.

An investigator provided a New York jury a riveting account on Tuesday of an evening in Washington, D.C., in 2019 when an FBI surveillance team came across Sen. Bob Menendez and his girlfriend at a fancy restaurant.

New Jersey, Montana, New Mexico, Iowa and South Dakota — are holding primaries on Tuesday. Most of the attention, however, will be on the Garden State.

Supreme Court decision, McDonnell v. Virginia, made it more difficult to convict public figures for quid pro quo corruption, this is likely to impact the allegations against Sen. Bob Menendez.
