Kyle Larson did not like his Indy 500 debut was put on hold due to a long rain delay. While speaking at the Indy 500 Victory Celebration when accepting his Rookie of the Year Award, Larson talked about his thought process when rain hit Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Weather ruined any part of Larson’s chance to complete the “Hendrick 1100” as the first driver to compete in the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day since Kurt Busch in 2014. But the weather forecast didn’t cooperate.

Kyle Larson fell short of history Sunday by failing to become the fifth driver to participate in the IndyCar Series’ Indianapolis 500 and the NASCAR Cup Series’ Coca-Cola 600 in the same day due to inclement weather.
