Portsmouth detective Sgt. Kevin McCarthy said a single alleged victim, an adult, reported sexual assault, leading to investigation and arrest.

A Portsmouth martial arts instructor is facing multiple charges of sexual assault. Harry Charache, 67, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of sexual assault and other charges, police said. Charache turned himself in at the police department earlier this week after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

A Boca Raton martial arts instructor, Leo Gerard Bonaparte, was charged with lewd behavior against a 17-year-old during private lessons. He admitted the acts in a recorded call and was released on bond.

Brown and the girl messaged each other on social media and began to spend time together outside of the martial arts school, investigators say. According to an arrest report, Brown sexually abused the girl between February 2023 and May 2023.
