The initial NFL waiver assignments came out Wednesday morning, and the Seahawks have been awarded one successfully- defensive back Derion Kendrick.

Seattle's starters looked great during the preseason, but not everyone is convinced that they have improved over last year.

The other off-ball linebackers outside of the starters are Thomas, Josh Ross (who didn’t play at all in preseason due to hand surgery), Jamie Sheriff, and UDFA rookie D’Eryk Jackson. Sheriff has played considerably at his familiar EDGE role so it’ll be interesting to see what the Seahawks do over the next 24-48 hours.
