A letter from the director of the African and African American Studies Department said that a swastika was carved over a sticker, "gay" was etched into a door, and two stickers that promote inclusion were torn off.

African and African American Studies Program Director Dr. Najja Baptist says the vandalism included language promoting racism and stereotypes.

Arkansas State Police are assisting the Altus Police Department in a death investigation. According to a press release, Altus police were notified that Christina Steffen, 35, was discovered unresponsive in her home.
