Lebanon is ready to negotiate an end to Israeli strikes and seek Israeli withdrawal from five border points occupied since last year, President Joseph Aoun said Friday.

Israel carried out strikes in Lebanon on Sunday, killing civilians in Beirut as well as a senior Hezbollah commander. It was the most significant attack since last year’s ceasefire, which Lebanon says has now been violated.
