Novak Djokovic admits he was asking himself why Nick Kyrgios was going at him and adds that there was a point when he wanted to end his silence and ignite a conversation with the Australian tennis star but then the whole Australia visa gate happened and their relationship changed forever.

Novak Djokovic admitted to Nick Kyrgios that he was “ashamed” of his behaviour earlier in his career, particularly regarding his on-court tantrums and smashing rackets. The Serb had been known for his outbursts when he was not getting his own way, but he believes that he has since mellowed out and hinted at fewer moments of chaos.

Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has said he will always be there for Novak Djokovic after the duo revealed they’ve buried the hatchet on a chequered relationship. In the past Kyrgios has described the Serbian as a “tool” during the period where Djokovic was banned from entering Australia due to his Covid-19 vaccination status.
