India has sent humanitarian aid, including medical supplies and relief items to Kenya, amid devastating floods in the country that have claimed 200 deaths, displaced thousands and destroyed 2,000 schools.

India dispatched a second batch of relief materials containing 40 tonnes of medicines and supplies to assist the flood-affected people of Kenya. The Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) consignments were sent to Kenya via a military transport aircraft.

The Government of India is extending humanitarian assistance to the government of Kenya in the wake of the devastation caused by the floods that have hit the country. 38 out of 47 counties have been affected.
