For 45 years, Mongoose has been in the dirt, down the trails, and on the ramps. With the Legion Series, Mongoose offers a full line of freestyle BMX bikes for riders of all ages and ability levels. As our flagship model, the L500 is designed to take on the raddest ramps and quarterpipes, and handle the abuse that advanced riders can throw at it! The Legion L500 features a professional-grade full 4130 chromoly frame (21 top tube), tapered headtube, mid BB shell, and removable break mounts. The L500 4130 chromoly 8.75 rise handlebar and 50 mm stem are designed for precision riding, while the wide aluminum double wall 36H rims and 2.4 BMX tires offer grip and durability when landing a trick. The 25x9T gearing with two-piece tubular chromoly 175 mm hollow spindle cranks and mid sealed bottom bracket offer a clean, reliable drivetrains. An aluminum U-brake with alloy brake levers provide speed control, while the 4130 chromoly BMX fork with 1-1/8" threadless steerer and taper leg helps maximize performance.
