This is a painting of one of my all-time favourite musicians, David Bowie. This image is taken from a film clip of "The Man Who Fell to Earth", where he played the character Thomas Newton. Bowie was a prolific artist, and had many different images throughout his career. I particularly love this era of Bowie, both musically and stylistically. I feel that he had an ethereal quality, which I have tried to capture in this painting. This painting was done on a fine linen canvas, using high quality acrylic paints. I have also varnished it for protection. I have painted the sides so it is ready to hang, although you can also frame if this is your preference - either way, it will provide a dramatic focal point for any room. This would make a really great gift for a fan of David Bowie - it is totally original, and will not be reproduced. Size - 18 inches in height x 15 inches in width. The canvas is made of linen, one inch wide, on a sturdy wooden frame. Please message me if you would like any further photos or close up images of this painting.
