I’ve fed lots of different ways and this works the best for me. I roll a bale out and all can eat. It’s more labor intensive on my part, as they go through a round bale pretty quick. When I feed in round rings in a group this size, the dominant mares commandeer an entire hay ring and invariably, the lesser dominant mares get kept out.
