There's good reason to believe Suarez won't return to the Phillies after this season, given their rotational depth. And while the Dodgers boast similar depth, their inability to keep starters healthy means that they can't be counted out on adding yet another premier arm to the mix before next season.

The Dodgers will first turn their attention to the trade deadline. But like last year, that search might lead them to rental starters only. For a more permanent upgrade, free agency might be the place to look.
