A preliminary finding into last month’s Air India plane crash has suggested the aircraft’s fuel control switches were turned off, causing a loss of engine thrust shortly after takeoff.

New Delhi: Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, on Saturday appealed for restraint in drawing conclusions from the preliminary findings of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) concerning the tragic crash of Air India flight AI171.
