Andrew Abbott signed off from the first half of the regular season in a manner befitting of an All-Star, and Elly De La Cruz put forth an equally noteworthy showing on Thursday, July 10, in a 6-0 Reds victory against the Marlins at Great American Ball Park.

Abbott served as a stopper and everything else the Reds needed in order to halt their four-game losing skid. Abbott, who was confirmed as an MLB All-Star Game participant on Tuesday, July 8, threw seven and 2/3 innings of six-hit, one-run baseball against the Marlins Wednesday, July 9, and the Reds won, 7-2, at Great American Ball Park.
